The overarching aims of the ENEIDA project are to address three key questions:
What are the needs of Spanish post-doctoral researchers regarding English and Spanish for Research Publication Purposes (ERPP and SRPP)?
What are the major similarities and differences in rhetoric between research articles published in English-medium journals and those published in Spanish-medium journals?
What writing difficulties do Spanish post-doctoral researchers encounter when publishing their research in English, and to what extent might these difficulties be due to the transfer of rhetorical habits from writing in Spanish for similar purposes?
We want to answer these questions in a coordinated manner so that we can go on achieving our longer-term aims and compare results in a meaningful way even after this project finishes.
