The significance of conducting cross-cultural studies of English and Spanish for research publication purposes was reaffirmed by Spanish researchers through the needs analyses conducted in Phase 1 of the ENEIDA Project.
Most of our informants indicated that they would benefit from a deeper understanding of the differences and similarities between writing research articles (RAs) in English for international journals and writing them in Spanish for Spanish journals.
Building on our previous needs analyses and the profile of the researchers involved in Phase 2, we initially chose the following knowledge areas for our cross-cultural studies:

b) Healthcare sciences
c) Agricultural sciences and chemistry
d) Social sciences
e) History
